Our Workshop “Ceramics in Austria” and the 12th General Assembly of the Austrian Ceramic Society will take place
on April 4, 2024 from 10:15 to 16:00 o´clock
in the lecture hall H “Ulrich Santner” of Graz University of Technology, Stremayrgasse 9, 8010 Graz
For the workshop "Ceramics in Austria" we invite our members from universities and industry to present their research topics and innovations. The presentations can be held in German or English. We ask for notification of a contribution until March 15, 2024. We will distribute the final program shortly after.
Furthermore, we would like to award prizes for outstanding dissertations and diploma theses as well as for the best publications published since 2022. We ask for suggestions from supervisors (theses) and authors (publications) with a short explanatory statement. The submission deadline is February 22, 2024. A jury consisting of full members and representatives of company members of the Austrian Ceramic Society will evaluate and rank the dissertations and diploma theses. The submitted publications will be evaluated by international reviewers.
Again this year we want to announce the Young Scientist Award of the Austrian Ceramic Society. This young talent award is to be given to scientists of our society who, at the time of nomination, are not older than 40 years and are distinguished by outstanding contributions to research in the field of ceramic materials.
The nomination of suitable candidates shall be made in writing by ordinary members of the Austrian Ceramic Society until February 22, 2024. It should contain the following:
The curriculum vitae of the candidate
The publication list of the candidate
A letter of recommendation from the nominating member setting out the reasons for the nomination
The documents must be submitted in English as an international board (not members of the Austrian Ceramic Society) will rank the candidates.
The participation at the workshop and the general meeting is free for members of the Austrian Ceramic Society and for representatives of company members. From non-members we are taking the liberty to collect a participation fee of 50.- Euro (20.- Euro for students).
