The promotion of our members—especially students and early-career researchers—is a central mission of our society. After a long pause due to the COVID-19 crisis, we would like to once again place greater emphasis on supporting our members through funding opportunities.
As announced at the last general assembly, we have standardized and more clearly defined the application process. Currently, the AuCerS offers the following three funding opportunities
1) Funding for research stays at universities or research institutions in Austria or abroad.
2) Funding for further education, such as attending conferences and workshops.
3) Funding for internships at companies that are not located at the applicant’s place of residence.
The first funding option is primarily aimed at young researchers, while the latter two are mainly intended for students. The application forms, along with explanations, can be found in the right-hand column.
It is important that these application forms are submitted at least three weeks BEFORE the planned stay, so that we can properly allocate the budget. Please note that all AuCerS funding is only paid out after the activity has taken place and after submission of an expense report (the form will be sent after the funding has been approved).
